Sorry about the poor picture quality I blame my blackberry and going about 80 on the freeway while taking a picture. Its amazing I didn't die!
Does any one else think its fitting that UVU's slogan is ENGAGE? I pass this billboard every day on my way home, twice. They have 2 of the same billboard about a mile apart one on the right side one on the left.
Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something? I just can't figure it out :)
Hi my name is Stephanie, I am addicted to coke I have to have one everyday and on especially bad days which I now call "fountain coke days" I have to go to the gas station close to my office. I have noticed that every day has become a "fountain coke day" I know this is bad for my health but I don't think I really want to stop.
So I was going to do this earlier in the week but I haven't had time.
Last Thursday I flew into Phoenix and had dinner with my friend Jenna. We went to this place Oreganos. It was so good but our waiter was a little interesting, for example he stood on my side of the booth and fell into me, on purpose trying to be funny. It was really fun to see her.
The on Friday I went to the hotel and worked for the rest of the weekend. My flight was at 3:45 on Saturday night and I didn't get in until 5:30 pm. I had tickets to the Jazz game that night but didn't have time to go home and change. I went and picked up Josh and rummaged through my luggage to find something to wear. We arrive just a little late. It was a blast. We definitely want to go again.
On Sunday was my dads birthday so I went to his house. We had dinner cake and ice cream and played games. I started to feel a little sick. Later that night it hit. I was bombarded with the flu. I was in bed all day on Monday and have still been trying to catch up.
Now for your viewing pleasure... You know you love them
I will be back on Saturday. I am going to Phoenix for work and thought that while I was down there I would spend some time with my friend Jenna. It should be a fun trip. Have a great weekend Ya'll.
I have been thinking of the word I want to focus on this year. After much thought I have finally made my decision.
My word for the year 2009 is, drum-roll please...
"We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues" (Thomas S. Monson, "An Attitude of Gratitude," Ensign, May 1992, 54).
"Where there is gratitude, there is humility, as opposed to pride" (Gordon B. Hinckley, " With All Thy Getting Get Understanding," Ensign, Aug 1988, 2-5)
I feel that as I focus on Gratitude I will be able to recognize the hand of my Father in Heaven more in my life and see all the many blessings he has given me. It's going to be a great year!
