Word of the year

I have been thinking of the word I want to focus on this year. After much thought I have finally made my decision.

My word for the year 2009 is, drum-roll please...

"We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues" (Thomas S. Monson, "An Attitude of Gratitude," Ensign, May 1992, 54).

"Where there is gratitude, there is humility, as opposed to pride" (Gordon B. Hinckley, " With All Thy Getting Get Understanding," Ensign, Aug 1988, 2-5)

I feel that as I focus on Gratitude I will be able to recognize the hand of my Father in Heaven more in my life and see all the many blessings he has given me. It's going to be a great year!

What is your word of the year?

Great word! I've seen so many of these posts, and not the same word twice! Amazing!

I also picked a word. Stay tuned for Monday.

Such a good idea. I think I might steal this from you, and post a word of the year on my sidebar. Anything to keep it all in focus, you know?

Cute blog!
